Back to Basics Part III C: Demystifying Label Instructions
11m
Disinfectants are designed for a specific purpose and are to be used in a certain manner.
Therefore, users SHOULD read the label carefully to ensure the correct product is selected for the intended use and applied correctly. US Federal law requires all applicable label instruction on EPA-registered products be followed (e.g., use-dilution, shelf life, storage, material compatibility, safe use and disposal). The U.S. EPA requires that product sales literature and labels accurately communicate important precautions and instructions to the user so that each product is effective without causing serious, harmful effects to humans or the environment. In addition, the label is a legal, enforceable document.
When it comes to cleaning and disinfectant products reading the label and following instructions is vital.
